Tax
At least from what I can see.
FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY - NOT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY AS LEGAL ADVICE OR ADVICE ON HOW TO FILE YOUR RETURN.
We seem to pay too much in taxes, but where does it all go? Most likely to pay only the interest on the national debt (some say Australia is not in debt though it is questionable). Or it could go to Deep Underground Military Bases? Yes they have underground bases around the New South Wales Blue Mountains and probably other places - more than what they advertise in the beautiful tourist holiday brochures!
The ATO is not a legal entity. Tax is voluntary, but you must comply. Go figure? It means you the living can pay tax if you want to, but your strawman must comply as it is part of their property. They want to see numbers moving - your strawman doing the tax return with you acting as the strawman.
When you do your tax return, they're asking you put your name in all capital letters - the strawman? Yes! "JOHN DOE SMITH" - a corporation or legal fiction!
Income: Money you get from profits sitting back doing nothing, profits a company makes.
How does a business do their tax? They pay tax on their profits and claim losses and expenses on tax which would otherwise get collected. What is a strawman? A business! A corporation or legal fiction!
Some people put in a zero tax return although this practice is questionable depending on how much money you earn - after all you only need enough money to get by. If you have too much money you're either working too hard, naturally very successful, or you might have used dishonesty somewhere.
A more honest approach is that you'd treat the strawman as a corporation how much that corporation profited in the financial year. So you would deduct your living expenses from how much "you" made in the financial year and only pay tax on the profits your strawman made. They are asking for how much the strawman made that year, not you the living being "John Doe Smith".
Are you an Australian resident?
Yes.
What is your (strawman's) occupation?
Agent (or agent in commerce)
What if you are a low income earner / covering your standard living costs?
That's ok! How much would you "pay" your strawman to take care of your bank accounts and tax account? $500? $1000? tax free threshhold is $6000. You don't enter anything in that you would claim against tax.
Problem here is if you are working for an employer who withholds tax and you fill a return below the tax threshold, you won't get your tax back! Enter in how much your strawman earned (eg. $40 000) and enter your deductions.
Signing your tax return:
Sign as "John Doe Smith" for "JOHN DOE SMITH"

Income Tax conspiracy (longer read) - Where's the law saying you have to pay tax?
Australian Tax Office rip off! Look at these unusual hikes. Polly want a cracker? Those guys really spend our money like water! I bet you never thought they were never a legal entity or a foreign owned private corporation! Nonetheless, something is wrong.
